Alexandra Seymour

Alexandra Seymour is a national security and policy professional with government, private sector, and think tank experience. She currently serves as an Associate Fellow at the Center for a New American Security’s Technology and National Security Program.

She previously served as the Chief of Staff at CalypsoAI, a technology startup that ensures that artificial intelligence solutions are trustworthy and secure. In this role, she advises and supports the CEO in company planning, research, messaging, and execution.  Previously, Alexandra served in the U.S. Department of Defense as the Speechwriter to the Deputy Secretary of Defense and as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Counternarcotics and Global Threats. In the latter role, she focused on the Defense Department’s counter-threat finance and counter transnational organized crime policies. A communicator at heart, Alexandra also served on the National Security Council staff in the Office of Strategic Communications. In addition to these experiences, Alexandra has worked on Capitol Hill, the Heritage Foundation, for the former Weekly Standard, and in the private sector supporting U.S. Navy acquisition. Originally from New Jersey, Alexandra holds a B.A. in Politics from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA.
