Matthew Cooper is currently a Cyber Security Operator with Marine Corps Cyberspace Command. In this role, Matthew works to defend and protect DOD government networks from national threats. Previously Matthew worked with the Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy to both instruct and develop new courses for our military’s Cyber Protection Teams. He was also an IT specialist with the Army National Guard. Matthew has a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland University College, and he is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. He is interested in combining his technological background with policy to make U.S. systems more secure and efficient for everyone. Matthew also likes to create computer games in his spare time and enjoys playing board games with his friends.
