We’re thrilled you’re considering applying to the National Security Institute’s 2026 Summer Program, held in Prague, Czechia from July 19 – August 1, 2026. This one-of-a-kind educational opportunity brings together a small group of top Scalia Law students for a deep dive into national security law and the separation of powers, taught by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch and NSI Founder Jamil N. Jaffer, alongside leading national security experts and federal judges.

What You’ll Need to Submit:
When you begin the application, you will be asked to provide the following information:
Basic Information
- Full Name
- Email Address (please use your gmu email)
- Current Year in Law School (1L, 1E, 2L, 2E, 3E, LLM1, Other)
- Undergraduate GPA (numerical, 3-digit format)
- Law School GPA (numerical, 3-digit format)
- LSAT Score
Short Form Questions:
- Whether you expressed interest in national security-related law in your law school application [Yes/No]
- Whether you are applying for merit-based aid [Yes/No]
Personal Statement:
- A short written statement describing your interest in national security and the separation of powers. You may include relevant coursework, professional experience, or personal background (max: 1,200 words).
