Alice Borene is a senior advisor at Lexpat Global Services.  From 2009 to 2018, she worked at the National Counterterrorism Center as an analyst, planner, and privacy officer. From 2018 to 2023, she served in roles throughout the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) including as its first Director for Human Rights and War Crimes; as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Director of National Intelligence; and as Assistant Director for Europe. Previously, Alice served in U.S. Army intelligence as a Serbian-Croatian linguist. She has a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
