On Tuesday, May 10, the National Security Institute (NSI), in partnership with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, hosted a special event with former Congressman and CIA Officer Will Hurd to discuss his new book, American Reboot: An Idealist’s Guide to Getting Big Things Done.  Former Congressman Hurd sat down with NSI Founder and Executive Director Jamil Jaffer for a fireside chat where they discussed Hurd’s belief that “pragmatic idealism” can offer Americans a fresh start to a country mired in political divides and internal strife, as well as his perspective gained from his time serving in Congress and his thoughts on the most pressing national security issues facing the United States.

In-person and virtual attendees were also able to receive a signed copy of Mr. Hurd’s book.  A special thank you to our hosts at the Reagan Institute, and thank you to those who were able to join us for this event!
