Anthony Vinci, PhD, is a Managing Director of Tracker Capital Management. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees Technology Committee of MITRE, an Adjunct Senior Fellow with the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) and a Board Member or Advisor to multiple technology companies.
Most recently, Anthony was an executive on the Core Management Team at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund.
Previously, Anthony was a senior intelligence official and served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Associate Director for Capabilities at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). As CTO, he drove the agency’s efforts to bring Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the enterprise, established a successful data scientist hiring program and formed public private partnerships with Silicon Valley. As Associate Director, he was a member of the agency’s Executive Committee and was responsible for overseeing NGA’s offices of technology, R&D, contracting, financial management, program development, innovation and strategy. During this time, Anthony was also on the Senior Steering Group and Executive Committee of Project Maven.
He was the founder and former CEO of Findyr, a technology company which crowdsources data from around the world, as well as Leviathan Analytics, an AI and geospatial data analytics company focused on global risk. Previously, he advised senior leaders on technology and strategy at a private equity firm, a global management consulting firm and at multiple tech startups. Earlier in his career Anthony served with the Department of Defense in Iraq, Asia and Africa.
Anthony received his Ph.D. in International Relations from The London School of Economics and studied Philosophy at Reed College and the University of Oxford. Anthony is a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and a Fellow of the Explorers Club.
