Boris Dyatkin

Boris Dyatkin is a Materials Research Engineer at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC. His research efforts aim to develop novel materials and manufacturing methods that address military critical technology needs of the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense. He received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University in 2015. Boris also completed visiting research fellowships at the Army Research Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Dalian University of Technology (in China). He leads the Grassroots Subcommittee of the Materials Research Society Government Affairs Committee. Since 2013, he has advocated on behalf of pragmatic science policies through direct outreach, congressional visits, and editorials in professional newsletters. Boris received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009.
