Caleb Charles McCarry is a Principal at Yorktown Solutions. Most recently in government, he served as counselor to the Chief Executive Officer at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation. He helped lead diplomatic outreach and policy coordination for the newly-created agency. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Professional Staff Member to Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) on the Committee on Foreign Relations in the United States Senate. He was responsible for U.S. policy towards Latin America, Europe, the Caucuses, and Central Asia. During the second Bush Administration, he was a Senior Executive Service appointee at the State Department responsible for U.S. Policy towards Cuba and earned the State Department’s Superior Honor Award. Before that, he served as a Professional Staff Member responsible for Latin America on the Foreign Affairs Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He also was Communications Director at Creative Associates International and undertook extensive overseas field work on USAID funded projects in the 1980s and 1990s. In 2017, he was decorated with the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Isabel la Católica in the name of King Felipe of Spain. He is the son of novelist Charles McCarry.
