Charles Faulkner

Charles comes to the National Security Institute as a visiting scholar from QinetiQ US, where he is Vice President for National & Global Security Solutions.  He previously worked for ICF International, as a Homeland Security and Cybersecurity Executive. An accomplished business leader, executive communicator, and relationship manager, he is responsible for a wide portfolio of professional services and technology solutions in the Homeland Security and Cybersecurity public sector space. A leader in governmental affairs, having served with distinction on Capitol Hill, DHS, the Intelligence Community, the Pentagon, and the State Department; Charles formerly served as a trusted aide to House Majority Leadership and the Executive Branch where he led legislative engagement with House & Senate majority and minority committee members on national security, cybersecurity, and homeland security matters. Charles continues to serve as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve where he integrates intelligence analysis, ISR planning and targeting support to provide situational awareness to military leaders.Charles holds a BA in History from the Virginia Military Institute, an MA in National Security Policy Studies from the Naval War College, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
