David F. Lasseter is the founder of Horizons Global Solutions, LLC. He provides consulting and advising solutions to clients specializing in national security, law enforcement, intelligence, and biotechnology. Prior to this position David was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction where he was responsible for, among other issues, all strategies and policies concerning preventing the proliferation of WMD and WMD-related materials; the United States Department of Defense (DoD) Cooperative Threat Reduction Program; and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defense. In this role he also oversaw Oceans and Airspace Policy for DoD, supporting global mobility of U.S. forces. Before this role he served as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs at the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) with responsibility for the national security portfolio as well as high priority congressional investigations. Prior to DOJ David worked for United Technologies Corporation as the lead defense government relations professional. David has served as a Congressional chief of staff, military legislative assistant, and counsel. He is also a Marine Corps intelligence officer in the reserve component. David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and a juris doctor from the University of Alabama. He has attended numerous DoD schools.
