Gabriel W. C. Otis

Gabriel currently serves as a Policy Coordinator at the National Security Institute. He comes to NSI from the world of defense diplomacy. Gabriel previously worked as a Desk Officer at the Ministry of Defense in Wellington, New Zealand focusing on Europe, South America, and Canada.

Gabriel previously worked in the Hawaii House of Representatives as a Legislative Analyst for the Minority Caucus. He has held a variety of public service roles in the New Zealand government including at the Department of Internal Affairs. Gabriel started his career as a Political & Economic Affairs Intern at the U.S. Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand.

Originally from Oceanside, California, Gabriel spent a large amount of his childhood in Napier, New Zealand. Gabriel received his B.A. in International Relations & Political Science from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and is currently pursuing his M.A. in Security Policy Studies at the Elliott School for International Affairs at The George Washington University.
