Geoff is the Corporate Vice President (CVP) and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Microsoft, focusing on core security operations and M&A integration. With over 20 years of experience in security and network architecture, Geoff has led cybersecurity efforts at some of the world’s leading technology companies.
Prior to Microsoft, Geoff served as the Chief Information Security Officer at LinkedIn, where he was responsible for safeguarding member and customer data and managing the company’s risk landscape. He has also managed physical and information security at Slack and served on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area CISO Council.
In addition to his corporate roles, Geoff advises multiple cybersecurity-focused start-ups, including Push Security and Reach Security, and has been an active investor in mission-centric, security-focused start-ups such as ArcJet, SemGrep, Ballistic, and FDVC.
Geoff holds a BS in Business Management from Western Governors University and is a member of the CSIS Cyber Policy Task Force, contributing to U.S. and international cybersecurity policy.
