Geoff joined LinkedIn in 2019 as the Chief Information Security Officer. In this role, he’s responsible for safeguarding LinkedIn’s member and customer data as well as helping the business navigate risk. Geoff has held several security leadership roles at various technology companies. Geoff has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Bay Area CISO Council.

Before joining LinkedIn, he was responsible for physical and information security at Slack. Geoff has more than 20 years of experience in security and network architecture with experience in the financial services and telecommunications sectors.

Geoff has a BS in Business Management from Western Governors University and is actively involved as adviser to a number of start-ups on cybersecurity and policy. He is a member of the CSIS Cyber Policy Task Force for U.S. and International cybersecurity policy.
