Jamie Jackson

Jamie Jackson is a legislative lawyer, policy strategist, and public speaker recognized as one of Washington D.C.’s “500 Most Influential People” by Washingtonian Magazine for her intricate understanding of “how the nation’s capital works.” With expertise in law and public policy, she provides insider analysis on federal legislative and regulatory processes, U.S. national security, and the intersection of politics and policymaking. She frequently moderates high-level policy discussions, delivers keynote addresses, and offers commentary on complex political and legislative issues.

Jackson has served as Senior Counsel to U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Deputy General Counsel for the House Armed Services Committee (HASC), where she directed legal strategy, drafted bipartisan legislation, including significant portions of the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), and led high-stakes negotiations on critical national matters. She later became a Partner at an Am Law 100 law firm, co-leading the National Security Policy Group. In this role, she crafted effective federal advocacy strategies, guided global corporations through congressional investigations, and drove strategic growth initiatives.

In the Biden administration, Jackson served as Security Clearance Counsel in the White House, conducting risk assessments on presidential nominees and briefing senators on sensitive security matters. During the Obama administration, she supported legislative affairs at the Pentagon, strengthening relationships between Congress and the Department of Defense, and played a role in the transition of incoming Secretary of Defense Ash Carter.
