As a seasoned Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), John Toney (JT) brings more than two decades of experience in security, and has worked in thirty-four countries.

He currently serves as the CISO for the State of Vermont, and previously led as Global CISO for a portfolio of companies specializing in the design and manufacturing of electrical components.

Before stepping into the role of CISO, JT served as the Global Director for incident response, threat intelligence, and forensic investigations at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Originally trained as a hacker, JT spent a decade as Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service, specializing in network intrusion response (NITRO) and critical systems protection. He also served on multiple protection details, working at The White House, the U.S. Naval Observatory, and DHS Headquarters.
