Kris Virtue is Vice President of Cybersecurity at Qualcomm Incorporated, a Fortune 500 global leader in wireless communications and semiconductor innovation. With more than 29 years at Qualcomm, Kris leads the Global Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization, accountable for enterprise cybersecurity strategy, risk governance, and the protection of critical digital assets as Qualcomm delivers advanced AI, high-performance computing, and connectivity technologies powering billions of devices worldwide.
A seasoned technology executive, Kris brings deep expertise across cybersecurity, information technology, and enterprise risk management. He is recognized for building resilient, scalable security programs; safeguarding intellectual property; and enabling secure business operations across complex, global environments. His leadership emphasizes disciplined execution, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation aligned to business outcomes.
Kris is also a founding board member and current Co-Chair of the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE), a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the regional cyber economy and advancing a safer digital ecosystem.
Kris holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture-Based Enterprise Systems Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
