Mario Loyola

Mario Loyola is a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.  He was most recently associate director for regulatory reform at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and also served as a White House speechwriter.  Loyola has also served at the Pentagon as a special assistant to the undersecretary of defense for policy, and served on Capitol Hill as foreign & defense counsel to the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee and on the professional staff of Senator Ben Sasse.  As a fellow at leading policy institutes, he has published extensively on a wide range of foreign and domestic policy issues, and has focused extensively on the Middle East, diplomatic history, and the international law of the use of force.
