Maurice Boissiere is a Partner at DataTribe, where he invests in and helps build cybersecurity companies tackling some of the hardest national security problems in the digital world. He brings more than 25 years of experience spanning engineering, operations, and venture-backed startups.
His work centers on advancing capabilities in cyber defense, incident response, and the growing risks that come with AI and autonomous systems. Through DataTribe’s studio model, he works closely with founders, government stakeholders, and enterprise operators to turn mission-driven problems into commercial solutions that hold up in the real world — for both public and private sector organizations.
Maurice started his career as an engineer, and that foundation shapes how he approaches security today — with a systems-level perspective backed by both technical depth and hands-on operational experience. He’s deeply engaged in connecting national security priorities with the innovation ecosystem.
He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves on advisory boards focused on entrepreneurship and technology commercialization, including the Dingman-Lamone Center for Entrepreneurship and the Maryland Momentum Fund.
