Myriah Jordan

Myriah Jordan is Director of Public Policy at Facebook, where she focuses on public policy development, legislative strategy, and Congressional outreach on a full range of technology policy issues. Prior to joining Facebook in 2011, Myriah served as General Counsel to United States Senator Richard Burr. Her public policy experience also includes extensive work in the Executive Branch, including three years in the White House Chief of Staff’s Office as Special Assistant to the President for Policy in the George W. Bush Administration.

In 2004, Myriah spent six months working in Iraq as an Associate General Counsel for the Coalition Provisional Authority, and later became the Deputy General Counsel to the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction. She also spent several years working as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Myriah received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from John Brown University.

Myriah serves as a co-chair of the Advisory Council for the Women’s Democracy Network and a Board Member of the Women’s High-Tech Coalition.  Originally from Ardmore, Oklahoma, Myriah now lives in Arlington, Virginia.
