About the fellowship:
Launching in January 2019, NSI’s year-long fellowship program is for those with a technical background who are interested in becoming actively engaged in national security and cyber policy making.
As a fellow, you will gain the tools necessary to effectively engage policymakers and senior officials in both the legislative and executive branches on critical issues. Through four two-day sessions in 2019 (held over a weekend approximately every three months), fellows will receive practical training on Congress’s role in shaping technology policy and enacting related laws; the executive branch’s policy making, implementation, and enforcement roles; how to provide useful information in the policy making process; and how technologists specifically can bring their expertise to bear on such issues.
Interacting directly with current and former policy makers and NSI Advisory Board members, fellows will learn through case studies, document drafting and practical exercises.
Who we are looking for:
Those with a technical background and experience in the technology sector.
