NSI Brown Bag Lunch: Joseph Moreno

The National Security Institute hosted a Brown Bag Lunch with Joseph Moreno, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2) and NSI CTC Visiting Fellow.

Joseph brings more than twenty-five years of experience advising clients in the defense, technology, cybersecurity, and financial services sectors on complex litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters. Prior to joining SAP NS2, he was a Global Litigation partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in New York and Washington, DC. Earlier in his career, Joseph served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division, Counterterrorism Section, where he investigated and prosecuted international money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes.

In 2014, he was appointed as a consultant to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and served on the staff of the FBI’s 9/11 Review Commission. He has testified before Congress on issues involving terrorist financing and is a frequent commentator on national security and law enforcement topics, appearing on BBC News, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and other networks.

A decorated combat veteran of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, Joseph is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq.
