Ruth Zhou

Ruth currently serves as Public Policy and Government Relations Manager for the National Security Institute. Prior to joining, Ruth worked as an analyst in strategic sourcing for the private label team at Albertsons Companies. Most recently in that role, she helped ensure shelves stayed in stock at the beginning of the pandemic, negotiated costs and supply with vendor partners, and managed the numerous cost increases the private label team received due to inflation.

As the Policy Program Coordinator, Ruth assists with the research, writing, and publishing of NSI research and advocacy papers. She also helps with planning and coordinating NSI events and other programming activities, and is always eager to meet and talk with new people in interesting fields. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy and spending time in the kitchen either baking or cooking.
